Sam & Lori

Sam always knew she would work with creative people.  After graduating from Ithaca College with a film and photography degree she moved to LA to work in the film industry.  After several months, countless phone calls and a lot of pavement pounding, she landed her first job at Chelsea Pictures. Soon after, Castle Rock came calling and she was on her way to learning the inner workings of production on her first feature film.

But being a native of Brooklyn, she missed the cold east coast winters and pushy New Yorkers and returned to the city to work in production, making commercials for several years. It was there she realized the perfect alchemy of her experience and passions — production and advertising — to become a creative recruiter, where she met her current partner, Lori. In 2001, Sam and Lori hung their sign on the door and opened as Sam & Lori Associates.



Sam lives with her husband, two young daughters, a Labrador and a cat in Croton-on-Hudson, where she has a pond and a barn and pretends she lives in Vermont.

Lori graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film and an almost minor degree in Psychology. At the ripe old age of 21, Lori became one of the youngest people hired into the training program at The William Morris Agency in NYC. After six rounds of interviews, she could now push a mail cart. After 3 years, Lori decided that the business of entertainment was not her calling, but that counseling creative people and matching the right talent with the right opportunity very much was. She left the glamour of NY Hollywood behind and joined a recruitment firm that worked within the advertising industry.  There she met Sam.



In 2001, she and Sam founded Sam & Lori Associates, which specialized in placing traditional and digital creative talent within the advertising industry. In 2007, Sam & Lori expanded their offering by adding an account management division. Over the last 15 years, Lori has worked tirelessly to make sure that her clients and candidates are treated with respect and superior service. 
 


Born and bred in Manhattan, Lori lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, two young children, Felix, the cat, and Spinner, the Hamster.
